Homemade Peach Ice Cream Recipe
If you’re looking for a way to entertain and occupy the kids as summer drags on without leaving home, make a batch of homemade ice cream together. Here’s a great recipe sure to tickle your taste buds.
- 2 1/2 pounds fresh peaches (peeled, pitted and chopped)
- 1/2 to 1 cup white sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 fl oz) evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk (approx.)
- In a blender or food processor, puree the peaches, sugar and half-and-half in batches.
- In a gallon ice cream maker, combine the peach mixture with sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour in enough whole milk to fill the container to the fill line.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream. Expect a delicious gallon of peach ice cream to be ready in about one hour.
